H2020 Low TRL Smart Grids and Storage Projects clustering workshop, 2 October 2018 – Brussels, Belgium
This workshop was organized by the Innovation and Network Executive Agency (INEA) of the European Commission and gathered together 26 projects in the field of smart grids and storage. The objective was to enhance the networking and synergies between projects and identify possible joint activities. MAGNITUDE was invited to this event and was represented by Pauline Raux-Defossez (EIFER), Ana Virag (VITO) and Sandrine Charousset (EDF).
The meeting started with a presentation of INEA and of the European Policy context. Then the 26 projects were presented. A 5 minute time slot was allocated to each of them in order to cover the project concept, main achievements and expected specific impacts.
The second part of the meeting was devoted to discussions on potential synergies/overlaps and opportunities, as well as the identification of potential common actions between projects. These discussions were conducted in 4 thematic working groups: (i) Technologies, tools and models for electricity grids, (ii) Sector Coupling (synergies between energy vectors), (iii) Data Management and Interoperability, and (iv) Business models for exploitation.
The workshop was concluded by the presentation of the BRIDGE Data Management Working Group and exchange of ideas on how to cooperate with it.
